Drawn In Media Partners with BMW for the Launch of the BMW Art Journey at the Miami Convention Center

In 2015, Drawn In Media was honored to be chosen by BMW to produce video content for the launch of the BMW Art Journey initiative at Art Basel Miami. This groundbreaking program was designed to support emerging and mid-career artists, offering them the opportunity to travel, explore, and create on a global stage.

For our team, this project represented not only a milestone in our company’s history, but also an incredible opportunity to showcase our expertise in corporate event video production and brand storytelling.

BMW has been the official partner of Art Basel since 2004, and their partnership continues to grow as one of the most innovative collaborations between the art and automotive worlds. The BMW Art Journey, launched in Miami in 2015, reflects the company’s long-standing cultural commitment, which includes the iconic BMW Art Car Collection. Since 1975, world-renowned artists such as Andy Warhol, César Manrique, Roy Lichtenstein, Jeff Koons, and Julie Mehretu have transformed BMW automobiles into rolling works of art.

It was an incredible honor to collaborate with BMW for the launch of this groundbreaking initiative: BMW Art Journey at Art Basel Miami. This global program was created to support emerging and mid-career artists, giving them a platform to explore their creativity, push boundaries, and share their visions with the world.

BMW has been an official partner of Art Basel since 2004, and the partnership has grown into one of the most innovative collaborations between the automotive and art worlds. With the introduction of the Art Journey, BMW deepened its cultural commitment, creating opportunities for artists to travel, experiment, and create on an international stage.

Our team worked closely with BMW to produce video content capturing the spirit of the launch in Miami—highlighting the intersection of art, innovation, and mobility.

BMW’s dedication to the arts extends far beyond this initiative. For decades, the company has invested in cultural programs worldwide, most famously through the BMW Art Car Collection. Since 1975, legendary artists such as Andy Warhol (1979), César Manrique (1990), Frank Stella (1976) and Ken Done (1987) (see galley above) have transformed BMW automobiles into “rolling sculptures”—bringing fine art into motion.

Our work on the BMW Art Journey launch remains a milestone for Drawn In Media, reflecting our passion for storytelling and our ability to capture the energy of world-class events. We’re proud to have played a role in documenting such a historic cultural moment, and it continues to inspire the way we approach every project today.
